		Antique satinwood work box inlaid with boxwood, rosewood etc. Shrinkage splits on top, front and sides fully repaired. Veneers repaired all round, particularly boxwood lines and chevron cross-bandings. Prepared and French Polished with wax finish.

	Complete Range of Antique and Modern Furniture Restored and Repolished: I offer a full range of wood finishing solutions. Ugly ring marks, heat marks and water marks can often be removed from table tops and cabinet tops in situ, although stripping and fully repolishing pieces is normally done in my workshop. Traditional French Polishes and waxes are used to finish antique furniture whilst modern furniture can be returned to showroom condition using modern lacquers and coatings. Matt, satin and gloss finishes are available as required. Preparation is key to ensure the quality of the final result. Stripped surfaces are always neutralised, existing finishes dewaxed. Colour matching is achieved using water, oil and spirit stains and my own recipe stipples. Steaming to remove indentations and scratches, bleaching where necessary, liming for some oak furniture and colur washing as required help to achieve the perfect result.

		Before and after pictures of sunbleached and water damaged early 20th century walnut table. Blistered veneer on table top and sides were repaired. The table was fully stripped and neutralised, steamed to remove indentations, and then French Polished to achieve colour match with undamaged middle leaf. Finally dulled down and waxed.
